Hi, I’m Ramya, the maker (and mama) behind NayVi Makery.
NayVi isn’t a word you’ll find in any dictionary. It’s a blend of my two kids’ names, our two little trouble makers, who love crafting with me every chance they get. Jesmonite, polymer clay and casting are my newest love, materials I’ve been testing, sanding, breaking and perfecting until every piece is one I’d proudly keep in my own home.
I started this business so I could be home with my kids and pour my energy into them and into something of our own. So in 2026, NayVi Makery was born, a woman owned small business run out of our home in Austin, Texas. Every new technique is an adventure we figure out together: I’m learning to run a business and master new materials, the kids are learning that patience is part of making, and we’re all learning that the mistakes are where the magic happens.
In our little home studio you’ll find me pouring Jesmonite home decor, trays, candleholders and accents with that smooth, stone-like finish, shaping playful polymer clay pieces, and packing up our Paint-Your-Own DIY kits, so your family can share the same joy of making that ours does. Everything is designed, made, sanded, painted and packed by hand, in small batches, right here at home.
And the puffin? He’s our mascot, named after our kids too. Puffins stay close to the nest to raise their pufflings, and that’s exactly how we make everything here: close to home, with the people we love, handcrafted with care.
